On June 14-15, 2024 Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) hosted the 20th Annual Power Women, Power Tools® event. For nearly two decades, thousands of power women have helped us build dozens of homes. Women who are using their voice to build strength, stability, and self-reliance in greater Los Angeles. These collective efforts by passionate, amazing women will transform the lives of hundreds of low-income Angelenos in need of decent, affordable housing!

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) Los Angeles Builders Ball®. This event celebrates the donors and partners of Habitat LA, as well as our counterparts in the building and real estate industries, who are all helping to transform the landscape of Los Angeles. It is an evening to raise awareness and funds to help empower families and build strength and stability in our communities through homeownership. Proceeds support Habitat LA's mission and initiatives to revitalize neighborhoods.

Habitat LA is excited to announce an upcoming home repair blitz, building on previous successful events. With the help of generous sponsors and dedicated volunteers, this initiative aims to provide essential home repairs for veterans across the Los Angeles area. Funds raised will support year-round programs that assist veterans with affordable housing, necessary home repairs, and homebuyer education. By joining forces, we’re creating positive change and enhancing the quality of life for those who have served.

Volunteer Opportunities
Not all Habitat LA volunteer opportunities involve swinging a hammer. As a key part of our day-to-day operations, behind-the-scenes volunteers spend their time and talents with us helping at events, entering critical data, and assisting with special projects. With opportunities in our Bellflower, Torrance, and Los Angeles offices Monday through Friday and flexible scheduling for special projects, finding the time to give back is easy.
