Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity (HFHFH)
Launched in 2000 with a 20 house “blitz-build”, Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity (HFHFH) is an entertainment industry partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA). Actors, screenwriters, musicians, athletes, agents, directors, producers, studio executives, and record-label executives are among the thousands of volunteers who have helped build homes for people in need in the United States and around the world.
HFHFH was founded by Screenwriter/Director Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers, Secretariat) to support Habitat for Humanity’s goal of eliminating substandard housing worldwide. Participants support through donations, volunteer hours, and advocacy. HFHFH works in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) to help HFHFH volunteers connect to build opportunities locally and around the globe.
HFHFH talent are donors, advocates, ambassadors or participate in several Habitat LA special events and signature builds including our Hollywood Build, Power Women, Power Tools® Build, the Veterans Build, National Women’s Build Week and the LA Builders Ball. Notable HFHFH personalities have included: Earvin “Magic” & Cookie Johnson, ‘Sugar’ Ray Leonard, Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood, Julie Ann Emery, Julie Bowen, Samuel L.
