Los Angeles, CA (May 24, 2017) – For the fifth year, Lowe’s will join Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) as the title sponsor of the Hollywood Build on June 9th and 10th in Culver City, CA. This generous support from Lowe’s will help Habitat LA raise awareness about the critical need for affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization in the greater Los Angeles area.
“For Lowe’s, it is so meaningful to help families on their path to homeownership,” said Veronica January, Lowe’s Market Director. “The sense of pride and security that comes from owning a home is really the foundation for building a strong and healthy family life and future.”
More than 400 volunteers are expected to participate in the 2017 Hollywood Build which will feature the Entertainment Industry Build on Friday, June 9th and the 13th annual Power Women, Power Tools® special build event on Saturday, June 10th. Entertainment industry executives, celebrities, corporate leaders, government officials, faith groups and community stakeholders will work side-by-side with current and future Habitat LA homeowners. Specifically, participants will frame walls for a new 10 home community in Culver City.
“We are honored to have Lowe’s return once again as the title sponsor of our Hollywood Build,” says Erin Rank, President and CEO of Habitat LA. “Lowe’s continually demonstrates their commitment to our mission through their generous support of this event, as well as their willingness to physically and financially help us build homes here in Los Angeles and across the country.”
