Los Angeles, CA (July 27, 2017) – Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) will welcome 30 Altisource Portfolio Solutions S.A. (Altisource) (NASDAQ: ASPS) employees on Friday, July 28 who will roll up their sleeves to assist with the construction of four new homes on Henderson Avenue in Long Beach. The build day is part of the company’s national initiative, now in its second year, to provide funds and volunteer hours for Habitat projects throughout the country. In 2016, Altisource® employees contributed more than 2,000 volunteer hours to Habitat projects throughout the country to help build decent, affordable homes.
In addition to building locally with Habitat LA and sponsoring events like its upcoming Veterans Build in November, Altisource is taking part in new home construction and repair projects in Atlanta, Boston, St. Louis, Dallas, Central Arizona, Denver and Greater Detroit. Altisource will also sponsor Habitat’s annual Corporate Summit as well as the Habitat on the Hill annual legislative conference.
“We are grateful for returning sponsors like Altisource who have made a commitment to give back in the cities they work in,” says Erin Rank, President and CEO, Habitat LA. “Their support of not only our building initiatives but advocacy work will have a lasting impact in helping us build the foundations needed to provide more affordable homeownership opportunities.”
“We are inspired and excited to continue this partnership,” says Kirk Willison, Senior Vice President Government and Industry Relations for Altisource. “It offers us an opportunity to give families in our own community a hand up and work with our colleagues from across the country on building stronger communities throughout the U.S.”
Habitat LA relies on the generosity of supporters, like Altisource, to make its work possible. Since 1990, Habitat LA has built, renovated and repaired nearly 800 homes locally, helping to transform the lives of more than 4,000 Angelenos. By 2020, Habitat LA has a goal to invest $100 million into revitalizing neighborhoods and increasing access to affordable homeownership and home repair opportunities as part of their Building a Greater Los Angeles campaign. This investment will benefit the local economy by building strong and stable homes in partnership with families, individuals, volunteers, municipalities and donors, which will bring strength and stability to local communities throughout greater Los Angeles.
