Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has been an active affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International for more than 30 years. By building and preserving affordable housing through new construction, renovations, and home repairs, Habitat LA is transforming communities throughout Los Angeles County. Through access to affordable loans, housing counseling, down-payment assistance, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities the organization has strengthened families, helped stabilize communities, and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a qualified candidate to work with our Wildfire Home Preservation department, which uses several funding sources to meet the home repair needs of low-income Los Angeles residents who were affected by the wildfires. The Program Manager works closely with our program participants, construction team, and funding partners to meet our ambitious goals.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Process program applications and qualify eligible households to meet multiple funder requirements and program goals.
  • Adhere to all funder guidelines while maintaining all required documentation and Prepare detailed documentation to present to funding partners for approval, billing and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate clientele records including contact information, project status updates, project budget, and demographic information.
  • Inform target communities of available program services through information sessions. Implement outreach and marketing strategies to identify qualified program participants. Attend all wildfire meetings and represent Habitat.

SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, background check, and a driving record check.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA Driver’s License, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.
  • At least two years of experience in program coordination, case management, or nonprofit program management.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Experience working with low-income or disaster-affected populations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing programs, home repair services, or disaster recovery is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to track multiple project components.
  • Ability to conduct community outreach and public presentations.
  • Comfortable interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clients, funders, and community partners.

COMPENSATION


Pay Range: $55,000 - $65,000
