Habitat for Humanity’s Home Builders Blitz is a national program that brings together professional builders for one shared purpose – to build safe and affordable housing for families in need of a safe place to call home. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles’ (Habitat LA’s) Home Builders Blitz is a result of a collaboration between the County of Los Angeles, Habitat LA, and four renowned construction firms, who mobilize local contractors and suppliers to build affordable homes for four partner families in record time. Additionally, subcontractors have the opportunity to donate their time and expertise such as providing foundations for each home.

Home Builders Blitz 2021 is an exciting and high-visibility project hosted by Habitat LA and sponsored by four well-recognized construction firms (AECOM, Clark Construction, Turner Construction, and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company) as well as Thrivent Financial. These five entities are working in partnership to build affordable homes for four low-income partner families in South Los Angeles.

Clark Construction and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company kicked off the first phase on April 19, 2021, completing the first two homes of our 2021 Home Builders Blitz in five short weeks. AECOM and Turner Construction will begin the second phase of our 2021 Home Builders Blitz on June 14, 2021, and are set to finish the final two homes in July 2021.
