This is the story of Marisol Gutierrez, who is eleven years old, and whose family is moving into a Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles Home in Downey. Her mother wrote and shared with us a project that Marisol recently completed for school. This month was open house at her school, the Suva Intermediate School. Below is a photo of the project which is posted on the wall of her classroom. The teacher had asked them “what do you want to be when you grow up.” Here is what Marisol said to her mother, “Mom, l want to be the manager of a charity program in Habitat for Humanity or any non-profit organization to help other people the way Habitat is helping us.”
