A Partnership That Brings Safety and Connection Home
Ring’s mission to keep people close to what’s most important aligns seamlessly with Habitat LA’s vision. By volunteering at build sites, assembling playhouses for partner families, supporting critical home repairs, and donating their signature Video Doorbells, Ring consistently invests in the safety and well-being of families.

Beyond safety, Ring’s technology provides practical benefits— with solar-powered products that reduce energy costs and ease daily life for families struggling to make ends meet. Their commitment also extends to Habitat LA’s Advancing Black Homeownership (ABH) initiative, which seeks to create equitable opportunities for African American families in Los Angeles.
Breaking Barriers to Homeownership
For decades, systemic barriers like redlining have made it difficult for Black families to access homeownership. Habitat LA’s Advancing Black Homeownership (ABH) initiative works to remove these barriers by providing education, resources, and opportunities to help families achieve their dreams of owning a home.
In 2022, Ring became the first major supporter of the program with a $100,000 donation. They also co-sponsored our inaugural H.E.R.E. (Homeownership Education Resources Event), where over 300 community members came together to receive valuable tools and knowledge to empower their homeownership journey.

This partnership has already made a significant impact. In 2021, 43% of Habitat LA’s new homeowners were Black. Together with Ring, we aim to grow that number and continue building a more equitable future.
Preserving Homes and Communities
Sometimes, a little help is all it takes to keep families in their homes. Through Habitat LA’s Home Preservation program, Ring has stepped up by providing funding and hands-on support.
Take Tyron’s family in Hawthorne, CA. Their home needed critical repairs for safety and accessibility. Together, Habitat LA and Ring transformed their house into a safe, welcoming space. On a bright summer day, Ring employees joined us to repaint the house, install new windows, and add a backyard handrail for safer access.
Tyron’s family expressed deep gratitude, sharing how these repairs brought peace of mind and a renewed sense of comfort. This work not only changes lives but also preserves affordable housing in Greater Los Angeles, ensuring families like Tyron’s can stay in their homes for years to come.
