Annual Event will Benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and Take Place October 13th at the Beverly Wilshire
Los Angeles, CA (September 29, 2016) – Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) will welcome the official Prince Tribute Band, featuring former Prince band members, to perform a set of hits including Purple Rain and 1999 at its annual Los Angeles Builders Ball® on Thursday, October 13th at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The Los Angeles Builders Ball® raises funds and awareness for Habitat LA’s Building a Greater Los Angeles campaign to revitalize distressed communities throughout Los Angeles and provide hope for low-income families living in substandard housing. Trammell Crow Company, Delta Air Lines and Mauricio Umansky will also be honored for their contributions to Building a Greater Los Angeles.
Under the direction of Grammy-award winning producer and Prince’s longtime bassist, Andrew Gouché, the band presents Prince’s music authentically. Habitat LA and the Prince Tribute Band will honor Prince’s legacy in music and philanthropy with this special performance that will include an appearance by Grammy-nominated R&B singer, Shanice Wilson. The Prince tribute at the Los Angeles Builders Ball® will coincide with the Prince Family Tribute also taking place on October 13th in Minneapolis featuring Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera and a host of others.
The evening will include a cocktail reception, dinner and live auction. All proceeds will support Habitat LA’s work revitalizing neighborhoods and increasing access to affordable homeownership and home repair opportunities.
Top corporate underwriters of this event include Delta Air Lines and U.S. Bank.
