June is National Homeownership Month. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) joined The Beverly Hills Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors and thousands of real estate professionals from across California for an advocacy day in Sacramento. During the week of advocacy in support of housing in Sacramento, realtors participated in informative update meetings, training sessions and member forums. Governor Jerry Brown addressed the opening morning briefing at the convention center. After the morning session, participants met with Assembly and Senate representatives to discuss important legislation affecting the real estate industry. Everything from affordable housing, accessory dwelling units, new proposals affecting realtors and property owners, to the lack of housing units was discussed.
