We recently welcomed local Pastors and mission leaders from the Bellflower Ministerial Association to help build six affordable homes currently under construction in the City of Bellflower. It was a great day, filled with hope and hard work.
The Bellflower Ministerial Association meets each month to pray together, to encourage one another, to share information and resources for their ministries, and to plan and coordinate community events and services for the glory of God. Meetings are led by the current president of the association, Pastor Tom Hocking. This month’s meeting was a Habitat build day, a time for the pastors to serve together in the community.
Association leader Pastor Tom Hocking of Bellflower Brethren and Kingdom Causes Bellflower helped to organize the day. Churches from Bellflower that were represented include Bellflower Brethren, The Secret Place, Calvary Baptist Bellflower, Bethany Christian Reformed Church, By the Book Ministries, and Encounter Christian Church.
In addition to volunteering with Habitat LA, the Bellflower Ministerial Association is helping to raise 10% of the costs for these six homes in 2017. We are grateful for the support of the faith-based community in the City of Bellflower and look forward to additional days of service with their church members.
