On December 9th, 2014 the Interreligious Council of Southern California commemorated 45 years of service in the region with a build day and $5,000 donation to Habitat LA.
The build day took place in Lynwood where seven Habitat LA homes are being built. Volunteers, media and community members heard from Veronica Hernandez, who is purchasing one of the homes.
One of the seven homes being built on the site has been designated “The Interfaith House.” We are thrilled to be serving alongside the Interreligious Council of Southern California as part of our Interfaith Initiative and as we complete our first Interfaith House.
