The Albertsons Companies Foundation helps the Lagusker family rebuild after the Creek Fire destroyed their home.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles’s (Habitat LA) 2017 expansion into the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys took us into new territory in more ways than one. In addition to doubling our service area, the expansion enabled us to respond to the needs of homeowners whose properties were destroyed or damaged by the Creek Fire in December 2017.
In July 2018, we completed our first wildfire repair in Kagel Canyon for the Alba family, whose home was damaged by wind, smoke, and soot. We have been continuing to help several families who have been impacted in the area, including Dana Anton and the Lagusker family. In partnership with local governments and an extremely generous grant from the Albertsons Companies Foundation, we plan to provide 15 homeowners up to $20,000 in repairs and services between now and June 2019.
