Habitat LA ReStores Partners with Da Vinci High School

Da Vinci High School and our Habitat LA ReStores recently partnered together for Da Vinci’s annual “survival” project and contest. This annual challenge had 50 students plan and construct a temporary shelter on their campus. All materials used to construct these shelters came from our ReStores and we are so impressed by how the students repurposed the items. The final winners of the survival project were announced last week.

The Da Vinci school model puts real world, project based learning aligned to workforce needs at the center of a collaborative learning environment. Their goal is to graduate students who are college-ready, career-prepared, and community-minded.
