The Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) 2019 Los Angeles Builders Ball® raised over $900,000 including an exciting live auction and a fund-a-need, which raised close to $200,000 in less than 30 minutes. Habitat LA was pleased to honor AECOM, Thrivent and the Los Angeles Rams, with presenting sponsor City National Bank, and the Pointer Sisters closed out the evening with a special performance.
Habitat LA recognized outstanding individuals and companies with a special celebrity-filled gala at the 2019 Los Angeles Builders Ball® presented by City National Bank on Thursday, September 27th at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. The sold-out gala brought together stars such as So You Think You Can Dance judge Nigel Lythgoe, NFL Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson, singer-songwriter and actor Eric Benét and a spectacular musical performance by The Pointer Sisters.
This annual ball celebrated community partners and individuals that share Habitat LA’s commitment to revitalizing and transforming the landscape of Los Angeles. Together over 800 attendees helped raise over $900,000 funds and awareness for Habitat LA’s mission to empower low-income families by building strength and stability through homeownership.
“It’s an honor to recognize these incredible leaders whose work has positively transformed the landscape of Los Angeles,” said Erin Rank, President and CEO Habitat LA. “The Los Angeles Rams, AECOM and Thrivent all share a deep commitment to serving and supporting their community. These organizations have been valuable partners with Habitat LA for many years, helping make affordable housing a reality for hundreds of families across Los Angeles County.”
The program highlighted Habitat LA’s Washington Neighborhood Revitalization work in a six square block area in the city of Long Beach. The memorable night also brought an uplifting performance by Habitat LA partner homeowner children. We greatly appreciate all of our sponsors, supporters and the entire 2019 Los Angeles Builders Ball® Host and Honorary committees who made this an unforgettable evening.
