Los Angeles, CA – August 3, 2019: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA), a leader in affordable housing, will honor The Los Angeles Rams, AECOM, and Thrivent Financial at its 2019 Los Angeles Builders Ball on Thursday, September 26 at the Beverly Hilton. This annual event will be presented by City National Bank this year and celebrates outstanding individuals and companies that share Habitat LA’s commitment to revitalizing and transforming the landscape of Los Angeles. In addition to recognizing the organization’s counterparts in the building and real estate related industries, this event also raises funds and awareness for Habitat LA’s mission to empower low-income families by building strength and stability through homeownership.

“It’s an honor to recognize these incredible leaders whose work has positively transformed the landscape of Los Angeles,” said Erin Rank, President and CEO Habitat LA. “The Los Angeles Rams, AECOM and Thrivent Financial all share a deep commitment to serving and supporting their community. These organizations have been valuable partners with Habitat LA for many years, helping make affordable housing a reality for hundreds of families across Los Angeles County.”

The distinguished 2019 honorees are:

  • The Los Angeles Rams, NFL’s 2019 NFC Champions, who will receive the Dream Builder Award in recognition of their commitment to raising awareness and money for causes and issues relevant to their fans and fellow citizens through The Los Angeles Rams Foundation. The entire Los Angeles Rams organization – from players to management – has been supporting affordable housing in partnership with Habitat LA since returning to the city and, in some cases, they have literally helped build the foundation for future homes.
  • AECOM, a worldwide leader in building and design, who will receive the Builder of the Year Award for their commitment to developing and implementing innovative environments that connect people and build stronger communities.  Habitat LA has received remarkable financial and volunteer support from AECOM for many years, enabling the building of more affordable housing that has empowered families in the community through homeownership.
  • Thrivent Financial, a financial services organization that helps people be wise with money and live generously, who will receive the Foundation Builder Award in recognition of their partnership with Habitat for Humanity around the world. In August 2019, Thrivent Financial celebrated the completion of the 17th home built in partnership with Habitat LA and also raised the first walls for their 18th home, which will be completed by year’s end.
