Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is thrilled to celebrate the dedication of three new affordable homes in Lancaster, CA. The homes were built in an accelerated timeframe during Habitat LA’s 2023 Home Builders Blitz by esteemed construction companies: Clark Construction, Turner Construction, and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. Each company donated their time as well as essential building materials and supplies, demonstrating their commitment to transforming the lives of low-income families.
“Our first home dedication ceremony in Lancaster is a milestone achievement in fostering strong ties in the community. We’re excited for our partner families to cross the threshold into the new homes, and we’re bringing together special guests and community members for this momentous occasion. We are grateful for the support of our partners in the 2023 Home Builders Blitz—Clark Construction, Turner Construction, and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and the City of Lancaster—who helped make this possible,” said Erin Rank, President & CEO of Habitat LA.
At this special event, Habitat LA will recognize its partners, supporters, and the three homebuyers who will be moving into their new home. Each residence includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a 2-car garage, as well as green, energy-efficient features. The 2023 Home Builders Blitz has been an integral part of Habitat’s expansion into the Antelope Valley. The development kickstarts a multi-year commitment to this community, where Habitat LA will develop more than 170 additional affordable homes over the next five years.
