Roxana Gomez served for five years in the military and completed two tours in Kuwait and South Korea. As a single mother, she was seeking to provide adequate housing for her son and so she applied for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles’ (Habitat LA) Homeownership Program. It took about six months for her to be selected and approved, and she has been a Habitat LA partner homeowner for the past five years.
