MAJ Brenda Threatt is the Assistant Director of Veteran Services at El Camino College, overseeing the programs and services that assist veteran students in achieving academic success, graduation, and ultimately, successful careers. MAJ Threatt is a military officer – 224th Sustainment Battalion, Long Beach California State Guard (Army Division). MAJ Threatt was the previous Executive Director of U.S.VETS Long Beach, which provided daily housing and services for homeless veterans. She has held positions with the City of Los Angeles addressing homelessness and the Mayor’s Office as the Veteran Liaison and South Los Angeles Area Director.
MAJ Brenda Threatt holds a Master’s Degree in Theology and numerous military certifications, citations, and awards for her work in the community with veterans and vulnerable populations. In 2001, she designed the 9-11 commemorative license plate for the State of California, which has raised millions of dollars to fight anti-terrorism in the State.
