Panel Spotlight:
Dinesa Thomas-Whitman

Dinesa Thomas-Whitman, Ed.D is a servant leader whose work is centered in Los Angeles County, CA. In her role at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA), Dinesa serves as Director of Outreach, Advocacy, and Policy and supports the organization’s advocacy, veterans outreach, and neighborhood revitalization efforts. Dinesa’s primary professional experience is in government affairs, political action committees, and community advocacy and engagement. She has also worked as adjunct faculty in the Los Angeles Community College District.

Dinesa currently lives in Carson, CA with her husband Dr. Robert Whitman and they are blessed with twin sons Reese and Harper. In her personal time, she serves the community through membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Dinesa received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from San Diego State University, Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Pepperdine University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from CSU, Long Beach.
