Brad Cox is an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) and has served as Co-Chair of the Los Angeles Builders Ball for two years. His leadership and dedication have been a tremendous asset to the planning and execution of our annual fundraising event. As you will learn in this short interview below, Brad is not only motivated to help his community, he is committed to raising it up.

What or Who inspires you (or motivates) you to give back in your community?

As a farm kid from Indiana, I appreciate the Los Angeles community and the opportunity to build a successful real estate career in a community that rewards individuals for hard work, honesty, respect and, creativity for solving complex problems without discrimination for ethnicity, background or education. Great communities are built on sharing a common belief that we all need to work together as a family to help each other succeed.

Why do you support Habitat for Humanity? How long have you been involved?

I have been active in supporting Habitat LA for the last five years. I am pleased to be involved in a wonderful organization that supports individuals and families in need of critical housing, and especially an organization who appreciates and recognizes the benefit of unifying families into quality housing to provide an environment to bind the family together while elevating their self-esteem.

What does “home” mean to you?

Home is a safe, supportive, clean, loving, accepting and a healthy enrichment environment.

Please share a favorite Habitat moment?

Celebrating the Builder’s Ball honorees at the spectacular Builder’s Ball evening dinner celebration with friends, volunteers, sponsors and families in need. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing a special moment with others who have generously supported Habitat for Humanity and who have made a difference in the lives of those in need in Los Angeles.

What 3 emojis best describe you and why?

Foot 🦶, because it is the anchor that supports our daily walk through life.

Toolbox 🧰, because you need a lot of tools in your toolbox to work through complex issues.

Waiting, nothing happens in our multi-layered LA world without many twists, turns, patience and perseverance.
