Habitat LA recently hosted an annual event that is near and dear to our hearts – our Adopt-a-Family Holiday Celebration. The Adopt-A-Family Holiday Program was developed to help provide support to partner homeowners who recently moved into their new Habitat LA home or received home repair services due to a financial need. The first year of homeownership can be challenging for families as they transition into their new homes and through the Adopt-A-Family Program, we are able to bring some extra cheer during the holidays.
Twenty new partner homeowner families attended this year’s celebration where they received a holiday basket filled with gifts and gift cards. The gifts were distributed by Santa Claus himself during our Adopt-a-Family Holiday Celebration, which was held on December 16th at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bellflower.
In addition to presents, guests were treated to a delicious buffet style luncheon and children were invited to design photo frames and ornaments in our kid’s crafting area that was run by our Youth United members.
