For the last ten years, I have dedicated myself to the nonprofit sector, primarily in supporting low-income women, regardless of their legal status, to start their own businesses. As well as a variety of other social justice efforts. Shop Bajo la Luna (Under the Moon) is a celebration of Latinx culture and women empowerment. You will find items from different parts of Latin America, my handmade creations, and Craft and Sip Workshops. Follow me on Instagram @ShopBajolaLuna for shop updates and new product launches.

In 2013, I set out on a journey of self-fulfillment. I was determined to tread this earth with grace, so I kicked off the shackles of desk-job-accountant and began a gourmet store in Pasadena called The Bea’s Knees. We brought in Beyond The Olive a year later and eventually bought the brand.
We won Best of Pasadena – Gourmet Food Store as well as Best Grilled Cheese. We even hosted a stage and BBQ for Make Music Pasadena. I watched the magic on customer’s faces when they tasted truly remarkable olive oils or were delighted with a cheese and chocolate pairing. I started finding my own farmers and like a winemaker, I began my own proprietary blends – winning gold medals in New York, Toronto and Los Angeles. I began hand blending our balsamic vinegars with fruit from California. I joined the California Olive Oil Council and make sure our extra virgin olive oils are certified by them each year.
Dissatisfied with the olive dips we were selling, I brought production of these items in-house and procured California olives and real extra virgin olive oil for our tapenade.
I love what I do and I don’t pay attention to the time. (That’s only a problem when I fall asleep at the laptop and your email reads “zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz”.) When I have a break – I travel, hike, ski, garden. I am the mother of extraordinary girls. I’ve taught yoga in our county jails. I volunteer teaching art and art history to children in the local schools and look forward to returning to a museum when we can safely.
As a lifelong book lover, I created a 'mobile book business' back in 2004 to bring good, quality, curated books with more female authors featured than routinely presented, to the greater public, beyond the traditional brick and mortar book stores of my upbringing. We designed, built, and implemented a way to 'show' about a thousand books at a time to be used at pop-ups, art shows, school events, and any place that was looking to feature books. As a female-owned and operated business, we have grown into operating independently, successfully, and now broadening our scope to provide first-hand business knowledge to other small enterprises, particularly women and BIPOC communities. While we continue to bring books to the people, now online more than ever as we navigate this 'different' business model, our number one goal has always been to connect to people, and people to books. Our business blossomed in Los Angeles, particularly in the thriving arts area of downtown, and as we look for more ways to give back to the community, the chance to help Habitat LA in any way, particularly at this time as people struggle through these trying times, is a great honor. We will always be booksellers, but our commitment to female empowerment through community service is our lifelong endeavor.

I'm Chrissy, an artist and the maker behind Casual Magic - a line of small-batch, handmade home goods and accessories. Based in Long Beach, CA, I'm originally from the East Coast, and draw inspiration from my favorite places on both coasts, in addition to my favorite destinations abroad. My line embraces simplicity at its core, with the aim to bring beauty and joy to your casa. Creating a safe and happy "HOME" has taken on renewed significance over the last year and I'm honored to align with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) for this special event - I've been a supporter of their mission for many years, even building houses in NJ as a kid.
Cr8tive Genes is a jewelry line unlike any other. Our purpose is to empower others and uplift, shift our state of awareness to a mere positive state. Hellena Jones Elbling is a self-taught artist residing in Venice Beach, CA. Her life-changing journey into the arts came through her study and certification as a life coach. There she learned that things do not have to be perfect – they just have to be. This philosophy allowed her to create a distinctive style in which flow, color and playfulness work in perfect harmony.
In her studio, she applies chromatic and achromatic colors of alcohol inks and resins to porcelain trays, ceramic coasters and wood serving boards, transforming them into wonderful home décor and one-of-a-kind works of art. Her aesthetic is minimalist, celebrating negative space and an understanding that art needs room to breathe so it can be best appreciated. Her abstract art has become popular because every viewer can delight in the images they discover. As the artist explains, “I create art that allows people to see through their imagination.”
Hellena applies the same principles to her jewelry line. As a designer who celebrates being different, semi-precious stones with an interesting cut and shape appeal to her most. They remind her that people, like the stones, have qualities that make them unique. Using sterling silver, 14K GF or copper, she creates the perfect. Like her abstract art, negative space becomes part of the design in her artisan collection, allowing the stone and metal to shine.

Established in 2018, INO Vintage is a Los Angeles-based small business offering a thoughtfully curated selection of modern and minimal vintage clothing, jewelry, shoes, purses, and accessories in classic silhouettes.
Born and raised in LA, I grew up scouring thrift stores, vintage shops, and estate sales, and starting this company was a lifelong aspiration. While an appreciation for design and individuality sparked my initial interest in vintage, I am also drawn to the sustainable attributes and utilize eco-friendly packaging and materials as an added step toward supporting the environment.

Hello friends! My name is Lauren but most people call me LaLa and I am a self-taught calligrapher and muralist.
Letters x LaLa was born in the middle of the pandemic. Feeling a little lost as I navigated through online school and transitioning my career into health care - I once again found comfort in doodling and teaching myself calligraphy. I had no idea my little habit as a kid would turn into its own business but here, we are and I am loving every second of it.
Some quick fun facts about me: I love to run. I am a big fan of waking up way too early to run an absurd amount of miles in the mountains...for "fun". Dessert is my favorite meal of the day, give me ice cream all day every day. My guilty pleasures are diet coke and quoting The Real Housewives taglines by heart. I have a nephew; he is two and I can safely say I am 100% his favorite person (if I have the right snacks).
Thanks for stopping by Letters x LaLa!

Audrey is currently a realtor who directs her DIYer clients to Habitat LA for do-good building materials that are also a fraction of the cost. Newlywed, born and raised in Los Angeles. Have been designing and making jewelry for about 17 years now. Started my company Panache 15 years ago after I graduated college with a major in Art with an emphasis in jewelry design from Cal State Long Beach. I have my website but my favorite is traveling around L.A. and doing pop-up markets and events. Getting to meet my customers, chat and see them try on pieces, and hearing what they love. In 2020 I expanded my business to selling crystals and gemstones on a larger scale for home decor, meditation, or self-healing. Crystals hold so much power and beauty.
