GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a Warehouse Sales Associate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will assist with day-to-day tasks including making sales, unloading trucks, managing volunteers, stocking and pricing items for the sales floor, lifting items throughout the store as needed, taking purchased items out of the store for customers as needed and keeping the warehouse and Restore running efficiently.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Customer service & sales.
  • Physical loading/unloading, stocking, and pricing of donations, which consist of furniture, home appliances, construction materials, and home decor.
  • General housekeeping of the facility.
  • Daily coordination with the Store Manager in regard to duties & requirements.
  • Forklift operations.

SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • 1 year of experience in customer service.
  • OSHA certifiable for forklift training is a plus, but not required.
  • This is a full-time position. Work schedule varies times, 9:30 AM-6:30 PM with some evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check and a 75 lb. lift test/physical examination.
  • Although no longer required, we strongly encourage all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and will continue to require all employees to submit their vaccination status by the date of hire.

WORK CONDITIONS


  • Frequently is required to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. alone, team lift 100 lbs.
  • Frequent movement around the office/warehouse/ReStore may be necessary.
  • Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens.
  • Working conditions consist of high temperature-controlled workspaces.
  • Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on the work area.

While performing the duties of a Warehouse Sales Associate, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle and/or feel objects, handle tools and/or controls, and talk to and/or hear. COMPENSATION


Pay Range: $19.00/hr. - $20.50/hr. *PLUS POTENTIAL MONTHLY BONUS*
