By building and preserving affordable housing through new construction, renovations, and home repairs, Habitat LA is transforming communities throughout Los Angeles County. Through access to affordable loans, housing counseling, down-payment assistance, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities the organization has strengthened families, helped stabilize communities, and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a qualified candidate to Habitat LA is seeking a Habitat LA is seeking a Manager of Individual Giving to raise funds through the successful identification, cultivation and solicitation of annual gifts from individual donors.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Manage, oversee, and grow areas of the Individual Giving Team's Annual Giving Campaign including but not limited to: employee giving (internal and external), special events (auction, raffle, swag items, and prizes) tribute and memorial gifts, affinity/community groups, special campaigns, peer-to-peer fundraising Individual Build Day program, and third-party/cause marketing events.

Assist in implementation of the team's Annual Giving plan including prospecting and stewardship of a donor portfolio of 50-75, assisting in building up our mid-level donor base.

Assist with all affiliate signature events, engaging and cultivating individual donors and prospects, while providing general event support. Additionally, collaborate with team members in the planning and implementation of special donor events, as needed, including friend-raisers, third-party events, and donor recognition/appreciation events.

Maintain accurate donor records, tracking of all donor communications and activity; ensure our database is reflective of activity and accurate.


SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Direct donor experience with skills in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Exemplary service-oriented attitude towards donors.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and have the capability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Must have access to reliable internet connection.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA driver’s license and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, a criminal background check, a credit check.

COMPENSATION


Pay Range: $26.44- $31.25 per hour. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
