GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is seeking an individual to support our Resource Development Team with the organization and maintenance of Event Team calendars, assets, research, and administrative tasks and reports. The coordinator will allow for consistent participation with research and identifying/resourcing Event Team planning, as well as support of other departments in support of build days, fundraising events, and annual signature events. Research, resource and identify Gift-in-Kind donations in support of Habitat LA events.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Organize and maintain Event Team calendars, assets; collect and compile resources in support of events. Support across affiliate teams/departments through preparation, staging & return of Event
    Team assets.
  • General Admin: Organize and maintain Event Team folders and documents on Teams/OneDrive to maintain historic accuracy and reporting. Assist with Check Requests, Gift-in-Kind documentation, team documents, provide support with follow up and communication. Reserve workspace as needed. Other special assignments as events schedule evolve.
  • Event Support: Provide support on-site at events (build days, meetings, fundraising events, and annual signature events) and assist with event support volunteers.
  • Interact and support growth of Event Support Volunteers.

SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must have access to a reliable internet connection.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA driver’s license and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen a criminal background check, and a driving record check.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
  • Being able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, as well as working in different weather conditions.
  • Event planning experience is often required. Typically, 1-2 years of experience in event coordination, non-profit evets can be an advantage.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively, especially when handling tight schedules.
  • Quick thinking and adaptability to address issues that may arise during event planning or execution.

COMPENSATION


The base pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 .
