GENERAL DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Commit to excellent customer service and be attentive to all customer inquiries and needs
- Cashiers must manage transactions with customers accurately and efficiently and help with the daily balancing of funds.
- Participate and engage customers in store activities such as sales, round up campaigns and gift card sales.
- Ensure that the checkout area is always orderly and clean. This includes the register, behind the registers and checkout lanes. Work in other areas of the store as needed.
- Remember product locations in the store to guide the customers throughout the store if needed and make recommendations.
- Occasionally we will be tasked with pricing donations and engaging in customers and making sales.
SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to handle cash transactions, make changes, and use a register accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and handle inquiries or complaints in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Ensuring all transactions are processed correctly and accurately.
- Ability to keep the checkout area clean and organized and manage multiple tasks during busy times.
- Prior experience with cash registers, point-of-sales (POS) systems, or handling of cash transactions is often preferred.
- Familiarity with POS software and basic computer tasks, such as entering transactions or checking inventory.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (such as bags or boxes) as needed.
- Ability to work well with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and consistent in showing up for scheduled shifts on time.

COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $17.27/hr. -$18.50/hr. *PLUS POTENTIAL MONTHLY BONUS*
