GENERAL DESCRIPTION


The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager and Store Manager with the sales and operational focuses daily in the ReStore. This position is always a leader in the building. The Assistant Manager oversees the building, and all ReStore operations in support of the General Manager and Store Manager.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Opens and closes the store as needed. Is always a leader in the building. Follows up on sales, customer service, operations, safety, and merchandising tasks.
  • Participates in recruitment, disciplinary, and dismissal processes. Smooth out problems within the workplace.
  • Address employee and customer concerns effectively.
  • Drives sales through themselves and others by developing their team to be sales focused. Develops good customer relationships.
  • Utilizes reporting to better understand sales trends to ensure they are merchandising and pricing to support sales.
  • Connects with other ReStore teams (other ReStores, logistics, and e-commerce) to ensure everyone is aligned with pricing and merchandising.
  • Effectively utilizes the marketing tools we have at our disposal to drive sales and awareness around events in the store.
  • Develop strategies for better workplace and sales goal achievements.

SUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must have access to reliable transportation, a valid CA driver’s license, and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, a criminal background check, and a 75-lb lift test.
  • At least 2 years of assistant manager experience in a retail setting.
  • Some experience in sales or meeting sales targets, preferred.
  • Strong ability to handle customer inquiries, and complaints, and provide excellent service, which is a key component of store management.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, staff, and senior management.
  • Familiarity with retail systems (e.g., Point of Sale, inventory management software) and basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).

COMPENSATION


The base pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
