The 10th Annual “Power Women Power Tools” event was held Saturday, June 21, 2014 in the City of Lynwood. I had the privilege to work alongside strong women from different backgrounds. As we worked together to build the remaining 4 townhouses, I felt an extreme joy to know that soon my fellow Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles homeowner applicants would each have the opportunity to be homeowners of a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom townhouse. As a homeowner applicant, I look forward to continuing to build homes, and one day look forward to owning my own home. I thank Habitat LA for allowing me to participate in this PWPT event and I look forward to next year’s event.

Each year, during the week leading up to Mother’s Day, Habitat for Humanity’s National Women ...
