Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity

Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity (HFHFH)
is an entertainment industry partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFHGLA) that launched in 2000 with a 20 house “blitz build”.

HFHFH was founded by Screenwriter/Director Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers) to encourage the entertainment industry to support Habitat for Humanity’s goal of eliminating substandard housing worldwide. HFHFH works with talent and industry leaders who support the organization through donations, volunteer hours and advocacy. Thousands of volunteers from the entertainment industry have helped build homes in the United States and around the world.

Our 5th Anniversary Power Women Power Tools build was a great success thanks to all of the Power Women who helped us build 114 walls for 10 homes to be built in South Los Angeles. We now need everyone’s help to raise the funds for our first ever Power Women home!

How different would your life or your children’s lives be without a safe, warm place to live? Right here in Los Angeles County, it is estimated that hundreds of thousands of people sleep each night in buildings originally built for cars and storage. As the nation’s homeless capital, officials have long struggled with what to do about illegally converted garages, where landlords charge as much as $1,000 a month for rent and the rising need for affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles knows exactly what to do.  We continue to build and renovate homes with a goal of eliminating substandard housing in our communities. But, we need YOUR help!

Help us make the dream of homeownership a reality for a deserving partner family in need. Your generous gift will help us buy the materials for a safe, decent home and you will forever change the lives of a family in your community.
