Act!
Speak! Build! Week, April 16-22
Act! Speak! Build! week is a national
Habitat for Humanity student initiated advocacy
program that empowers young people to educate
themselves and their communities and move people
to social action.
Students
plan and host events focused on ending poverty
housing, targeting youth, community members, and
others to raise the social consciousness on
issues of poverty housing and to affect change
in housing policy.
Participating
schools will be recognized nationally and
locally by Habitat for Humanity International
and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.
They will also be eligible to win awards and
prizes.
