Thank you for your interest in an intern position with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA). Interns help with the areas of HFH GLA that are beyond the construction site such as working in the business office or ReStore. They are a vital part of the work of Habitat.

What is the time commitment for an internship?
Internships are 8-10 weeks.

What is the age requirement for an intern?
Interns must be at least 16 years of age, however other requirements may apply based upon the position.

How many hours a week do interns work?
Interns work between 10 – 20 hours a week.

Do interns receive compensation?
Interns receive valuable experience, but generally do not receive monetary compensation.  Because of this, applicants MUST receive course credit in order to be considered for an internship.

If you will not be able to receive course credit for an internship, we encourage you to serve in a comparable capacity as a volunteer.

Where are the positions located?
All internship positions are based at either:

HFH GLA headquarters located at 17700 S. Figueroa Street in Gardena
or
our Sandhill location at 969 Sandhill Avenue, Carson, CA 90746

After your application is reviewed, if your skills are a match for the internships available you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Your application will be kept on file with HFH GLA for approximately one year after it is submitted. If additional positions become available that fit your experience and interest you will be contacted.
